Role at NNPC
My work is to get all of NNPC’s specialists to contribute in the right way. A challenge, but one I greatly enjoy. I began here in 2007 in the finance department, soon after I went to risk & compliance and since 2014 I am a member of the board of directors. My focus is on risk, finance policy and internal governance.
What makes the club special?
Within the realm of P&I, we possess a huge amount of experience and knowledge. One of the biggest challenges for us at the moment is growing as a financial institution and continuing to meet the strict rules and regulations. We achieve this by looking closely at our company structure and working together with partners such as NorthStandard and IMU.
Personal vision
When I started out at NNPC, I received a piece of advice I never forgot. “Don’t get too technical,” I was told, “just tell things in the plainest way possible.” Our members aren’t interested in the specifics of our field, they just want it done as cleanly and well as it can be.
