As of 1 July 2025, the activities of the Noord Nederlandsche P&I Club will be transferred to a new management structure and the mutual maritime insurer will get a new name: NNPC Marine Insurance. At the same time, the website will receive a fresh new design and move to www.nnpc-marine.com

Growth requires a new approach
The maritime sector is changing and today’s members and clients demand more: thorough legal knowledge, faster support, digital protection and a broader lineup of insurance products. In order to offer more possibilities as a maritime insurer and to strengthen their position on the Dutch and German market, NNPC will over the coming years expand their services step by step.
The first step in this transition is to transfer the activities into a new management company with the name NNPC Marine Insurance. “With this new structure we increase our effectiveness,” says Rob Beets, chairman of the Board of Directors, “letting us diversify our products and services in the near future without letting go of our guiding principles as a mutual insurer.”
Strategic partnerships NorthStandard and IMU
This growth and expanded range of services is enabled by cooperating with others in the international world of maritime insurance. Beets: “Since 2024 we have a strategic partnership with NorthStandard, the world’s largest P&I Club. We also have a stake in the fast-growing maritime insurer IMU. These partnerships allow us to make huge leaps in the areas of product development, service and prevention over the coming years.”
Trusted quality
From 1 July 2025 on, NNPC Marine Insurance will cooperate increasingly closely with these partners to introduce new products and services. Unchanged throughout all this is their high service level and personal commitment to members and clients.

About NNPC Marine Insurance
The Noord Nederlandsche P&I Club was founded on 18 January 1937 with the purpose of insuring Dutch captains and shipowners against liabilities. From their headquarters in Haren (Groningen), NNPC Marine Insurance has since then developed from mutual P&I Club to a broad maritime insurer with a global network and excellent service.
In the words of Rob Beets: “NNPC doesn’t merely offer P&I products, but rather serves the interests of three hundred sea-going vessels and over three thousand inland shipping vessels. This gives us the strong purchasing power to create a unified front in the market.”
